This Month’s CD: Seven Last Sayings of Christ by Dr. Scott Hahn

We all know a person’s dying words carry significant weight. These words can never be undone and in many cases are the main legacy left behind. How many people have been reconciled with family members or taken a new path in life at the deathbed request of a loved one?

If we take the last words of our friends and family so seriously; how much more should we cling to the last words of Christ? This month’s CD, “Seven Last Sayings of Christ” by Dr. Scott Hahn, is an amazing study of the last seven things Christ said before his crucifixion. Hahn does an excellent job of showing us what these words meant, which is important because they are sometimes cryptic.

If you want a clearer view of the final commands of Christ, many said while on the cross, this CD is a must listen! The sayings considered are:

"Father, forgive them, they know not what they do"
“Today you will be with me in Paradise”
“Woman behold your son”
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Click for our commentary)
“I thirst”
“It is finished”
“Into your hands I commend my spirit”
