Prayer Commitments Letter

I wrote about this on Friday but since then we've solidified it a bit. We're going to read the prayer commitments made each of you to those who will be building the house so they can hear how many folks are praying for their success and safety. Please consider making a commitment to pray for our volunteers and email that commitment to questions@tadaministries.com or respond with a comment on this post.

Here's the full detail:

Hi, everyone,

You may have heard that Corpus Christi in Bismarck is building a house (well, framing it) in their parking lot on Friday & Saturday July 9 & 10. The house will then be given to Habitat for Humanity to go to a family in need.

While we have volunteers to do the cutting and construction we need volunteers for an equally important role: prayer. Any organization can build a house; but a s a family of Christians we want to wrap this home, the future inhabitants, and the hands that build it in prayer. In addition, we seek to not only build a house but to build the home of the holy Spirit in each of us through this project by recognizing that we are creations of a loving and good Creator. Would you help us? Here's what we'd like you to do:

If you're able to spend some time in prayer on the 9th and/or 10th of July, please respond to this email with the time/prayers you committo to spend in prayer each day. Then, before work begins each day we will read the names (let us know if you'd like to remain anonymous) and prayer commitments each of you have made for that day. Knowing that so many people are offering prayers for their safety and effectiveness will have a huge impact on those building the house.

Ideas for prayer commitments include:
-Attending daily Mass
-Rosaries
-Chaplets
-Fasting
-15/30/60 minutes in prayer or adoration
--Anything else you feel called to do

Thanks so much for considering committing to be a prayer volunteer for us! Remember, if you do decide to make a prayer commitment, please respond to this email with the commitment you'd like to make and the day(s) (July 9th and/or 10th) you'lll make those commitments on.

Thanks again, and God bless!

Dan Brooke
